The Concept

In September of 2010, through a penpal's participation and recommendation, I decided to join Postcrossing.com (see blog: New Hobby - Postcard Collection). I use that blog to showcase local postcards that I would send to foreigners.

Eventually, as networking goes, soon I found myself with requests from other Facebook users who enjoy swapping/trading. I saw this as a great opportunity to introduce my country to more people (most of whom have never heard of us!) as well as increasing my postcard collection. Some people collect all types of souvenirs: postcards, push pins, magnets, jewellery, flags, etc but since I only do postcards, I swap/trade what they want for what I want (eg. 1 postcard = 1 postcard, 4 postcards = 1 magnet etc).

So while I decide on an archival system for storage of my postcards, I plan to use this new blog to showcase my growing collection of postcards from all over the world!
